 Ronald Openshaw, Chairman

Ronald was appointed Chairman in January 2010. He is the founder and CEO of the M&A and strategic consulting firm Lucia Capital LLP and previously he was an investment banker at Panmure Gordon & Co. Limited (latterly WestLB Panmure Limited) and then, most recently, Jefferies International Limited. He also served as CFO and acting CEO at Pharmagene plc from 2003 until its merger with Asterand plc in 2006.
 Peter Townley
 Peter Townley, CEO

A founding Director of the company he was formerly Managing Director of BRC Management Services Ltd (1990 to 2005) a management consultancy practice focused on strategic restructuring and management of change with blue chip clients including BBC, Williams Holdings and Tyco International. A trained accountant with a career spent in strategic marketing he has held senior executive positions with international corporations such as Emhart Corporation and Black and Decker as well as owning and running small manufacturing businesses. Formerly a Board member of the Federation of British Hand Tool Manufacturers, Chairman of the Construction Products section of Comité Européen de l’Outillage and a former member of the CBI Council representing small businesses.

 Mark Fielding, Director Radical Division

Mark Joined Steritrox in March 2009 as Director of the Radical Business Unit, having spent his entire career to date in the food industry, including Sales Director positions with Inter Link Foods PLC and Gerber Juice Company Ltd, as well as a period running his own business Luscious Food & Drink Company Ltd. Mark has an MBA, practical experience of a wide variety of food manufacturing organisations and intimate understanding of the industries commercial challenges.
 Mark Hamilton
 Mark Hamilton, Director Meditrox Division

Mark joined Steritrox Ltd in December 2008 and currently heads up the Meditrox division as Business Unit Director. An Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a First class honours degree from Reading University and a subsidiary degree in Mathematics, Mark has over 20 years experience at bringing new innovative technologies to market. Previous products include the original Racal Vodafone mobile phone in 1984, Hewlett Packard Ultrium backup technology in 1999 as well as Aurix, innovative speech recognition technology from Qinetiq, in 2007. Mark has worked closely with several public sector organisations including the Department of Health and the NHS and was responsible for program managing the rollout of key UK hospital health programmes such as “Winning ways” and “Towards cleaner hospitals” between 2004 to 2006.

 Nigel Higgs, CFO & Commercial Director

Nigel is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, holds a Masters in Finance and Accounting and is an accredited Coach and Mentor with Connect Midlands. He has over 25 years experience across various sectors both in the UK and Europe, particularly on logistics and service companies, with success in turnaround, start-up, growth, people development, change management, funding, acquisition situations, operations and the venture capitalist community. Nigel has also been heavily involved in raising of finance via the banking environment and the venture capitalist communities.
 Ian Booth
 Ian Booth, Manufacturing Director

A founding Director of the company he is Managing Director of CTL Engineering Ltd and is an experienced manager with a strong background in manufacturing engineering. He has 33 years of knowledge running multi million pound manufacturing businesses building complex electronic and mechanical equipment, and has extensive experience in procurement, machining and supply chain management.
 Prof. Geoff Randall
 Prof. Geoff Randall OBE, Non-executive Chief Technical Officer

Geoff Randall has been a non-executive director since 2008. His speciality is technology transfer and the associated people skills that are required. Geoff is a founder Director of the Rainbow Seed Fund which invests in technology coming from PSRE establishments. He had a full time career in ICI, Zeneca and AstraZeneca where he was Director of Global Health, Safety and Environmental Operations. Geoff’s career in industry covered photoactive materials, polymers, bulk chemical catalysis, agrochemical development, environmental assessment, ecotoxicology, toxicology and pharmaceutical development as well as broader Health, Safety and Environment issues such as waste management and the remediation of contaminated land. He is an Honorary Visiting Professor at Plymouth University, Vice President of the Marine Biological Association, Chairman of National Aquarium Limited and a Trustee of the Society for Experimental Biology. He was honoured with an OBE in 2000.
 Dr. Rob Wylie
 Dr. Rob Wylie, Non-executive

Rob has been a non-executive director since 2007 and represents the interests of WHEB Ventures. He has focused on the clean technology investment area for almost 20 years. He is a WHEB Ventures a specialist cleantech venture capital firm. A chemist with an MA and PhD from Cambridge University, Rob spent ten years in Shell’s agrochemical business before working with Rothschild’s Bioscience unit looking at clean technology investment opportunities. He then joined Kim at KPMG, where he spent three years advising on the development of a variety of environmental funds in Central and Eastern Europe. Rob has been an active participant on numerous Industry, UK Government and University cleantech advisory boards, including the Cleantech Network European Advisory Board, the DTI’s Environmental Innovation Advisory Group and the commercial advisory board for a consortium of the main London Universities (Imperial, King’s and UCL).
